How Did It Perform

MK750

Experience and Final Thoughts

The Cooler Master MasterKeys MK750 has one of the cleanest appearances that I have seen in a long time. The user is not overwhelmed with additional rows of function keys or cumbersome software packages.

The keyboard bottom housing is constructed of plastic, while the top housing is fabricated from anodized aluminum that gives the unit a sturdy feel that is hard to beat. The additional convenience of a detachable braided cable makes taking this unit to LAN events a pleasure. No more dealing with cables that get in the way during transportation and packing. The magnetic wristrest works perfectly and securely holds itself to the keyboard assembly. The integrated cable grooves on the underside of the keyboard assembly make cable management quick and easy. You can easily route the cable in either the left, right or straight behind directions without worrying about it moving around during gaming or work.

The dedicated multimedia keys (Play/Pause, Mute/Unmute, Forward, Backward) allow users to easily control their media with a simple touch of the keys, without the burden of having to utilize specialized software. The On-the-Fly controls for quick Macro, Multimedia and Backlight adjustments without the use of dedicated software are in keeping with this minimalistic approach to design.

For those desiring the ultimate control over their keyboard, the Cooler Master software package makes LED customization, macro recording, key mapping and profile creation/exporting a breeze. No complicated key sequences to memorize and importing/exporting between devices is hassle-free.

I have used numerous keyboards, from basic to professional, and would have to give this keyboard a ‘Must Have’ award! I travel to numerous LAN events throughout my region and this unit removes the hassles of dealing with uncooperative keyboard cables, hard-to-assemble wristrests and overly complicated customization software. Cooler Master has nailed the minimalistic keyboard design without sacrificing quality or features.
