|The Test Rig:

With my Green Flame mod, I have several layers of roughly 3/16″ thick aluminum and 1/8″ sandwiched together. So mounting fans will require the use of bolts and nuts rather than the standard screws or the silicone fan mounts. My mod is also LOUD (maybe even LOUD) when it comes to fan noise. The combination of the honeycomb mesh grills and the BFG logos creates a lot of noise. To alleviate some of that noise, I will be removing the BFG logos before making any test runs on the fans. I can also easily overheat the system with the dual GX2’s, which is why I swapped them out for a BFG 8800GTS. I want to produce some heat, but don’t want to tank the results if you know what I mean.
